1. Bicycles for Pastors  Many pastors can not afford to pay for gas or maintenance of a car let alone purchase one.  A popular form of transportation for these pastors is a bicycle.  A brand new bicycle costs approximately one hundred dollars ($100) in Romania.  Donations of used bicycles in excellent condition are welcomed.

2. Heating systems continue to be a great need for churches in Romania.  Wood burning stove/furnaces are desired as well as gas fired heating stoves.  The gas stoves can be purchased for around one to two hundred dollars ($100-$200).

3. House Churches are springing up all over Romania.  Most begin as a Bible Study Group in a new Christian's home.  When the room becomes to small for the group they begin looking for a small house (usually 2 or 3 rooms) to purchase and remodel into a Bible Study Home.  This will eventually become a church!  A 2 or 3 family home in the villages can be purchased for only two to three thousand dollars ($2,000 to $3,000).  To date, Adopt-A-Church has purchased four such homes with the generosity of our supporters.

   More of these small homes are needed!

Finally, we select the needs we feel can best be met by moderate gifts. Many requests are overwhelming in nature (build a church, build an orphanage, build a youth center) and would be a rather large project to tackle.
